Straight answers to the questions our New York clients ask most.
Who is Blue Jay Scaffolding?
How does Rantel charge for scaffolding?
We primarily charge on a weekly basis, with discounts available for 4-week (monthly) and long-term rentals. Your first week starts the day the equipment leaves the yard, regardless of whether you erect it on day 1 or day 5.
Do you rent scaffolding for stairs or sloped roofs?
Yes. We have adjustable screw jacks and leveling jacks to accommodate slopes. For roofing jobs, we carry pump jacks and roof brackets. Tell us the pitch of your roof, and we will get you set up.
What is the difference between a "System" scaffold and a "Tube & Clamp" scaffold?
System Scaffold (like Ringlock or Cuplock) is modular and goes together very quickly. It is great for large facades and industrial work. Tube & Clamp is more flexible for irregular shapes and tight spaces but takes longer to erect. Rantel stocks both, and our staff can help you decide which is more efficient for your specific job.
Do you provide outriggers and mudsills?
Yes. For safety, we strongly recommend outriggers for any tower over 15 feet. Mudsills (large wooden pads) are also available for rent to ensure your scaffold doesn’t sink into soft ground or damage finished pavement. We include these in our larger system packages, or you can add them à la carte.
